There are so many kitchen water filters on the
market - from a carbon under counter water filter to a reverse
osmosis water filter on the counter. All of these water
filters provide easy,
attractive and convenient water filtration at your kitchen sink.
Under counter or under sink water filter units install neatly under
sinks without plumbing or special tools.
Since under sink water filter units are installed out of sight, these systems tend to be larger
than counter top water filters. They may have replaceable water filter
cartridges or be sealed units that can be back washed to flush the filter.
Counter top water filter models are also available and are
similar in effectiveness to under sink water filters. They are generally carbon
based filtration systems, whereas, under sink units can be activated carbon based or
reverse osmosis water filtration systems.
Depending on the unit you choose, the replaceable filter
cartridges can provide between 10,000 and 30,000 gallons of safe, clean drinking water and last from 1 to 5 years
- also dependent on your water consumption. Under sink water filters are
available with single, double or triple filters. Typically the more filters the
unit has available, the more levels of filtration the water travels though and
the purer and safer your dinking water.
Below are our Under Counter and Countertop
Water Purifier Recommendations for both the carbon based and
the reverse osmosis water filters.
